The Apple Translation & Multilingual Intelligence team is building the groundbreaking technology that enables connecting people across language barriers. We are looking for exceptional Software Engineers passionate about delighting customers' experiences and pushing the envelope on Machine Learning,Embedded, and Distributed Computing.

You will be primarily responsible for developing our low-level frameworks and services that connect state-of-the-art Machine Learning models and inference engines to the variety of Translation experiences across all of our platforms! You will be working with many partner teams including Asset management, Phone/Face Time and Messages.

To succeed in this role, you are a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who enjoys learning new things. You are passionate about developing new features, maintaining existingcode, fixing bugs, and contributing to overall system design. You are a great teammate who thrives in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. As a senior member of our team, you will be expected to be a leader of projects and people.

• 5+ years development experience with Objective C and/or Swift
• Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
• Framework-level programming including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
• Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of industrial working experience

• 10+ years development experience with Objective-C and/or Swift
• Experience with user features that integrate or adopt language modeling technologies
• Understanding of issues with delivering features for an international audience
• Experience with AI Tools to support coding, reviews and code analysis

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
