** About the Role
** As an Associate Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of embedded software solutions that power Analog Devices' innovative products and technologies. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will participate in the design, implementation, testing, and support of software that interfaces with hardware systems and enables product functionality.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Develop, maintain, and debug embedded software and firmware components under the guidance of experienced engineers.
* Participate in software development activities including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
* Assist in integrating software with hardware systems and embedded platforms.
* Support software verification, validation, and troubleshooting efforts throughout the development cycle.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, applications, and product engineering teams.
* Contribute to technical documentation, software design discussions, and code reviews.
* Apply software engineering principles and development best practices to assigned tasks.
** Must Have Skills
*** Knowledge of software development fundamentals and programming concepts.
* Experience with C and/or C++ programming through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience.
* Understanding of embedded systems concepts, microcontrollers, or hardware-software interaction.
* Familiarity with debugging tools and problem-solving techniques.
* Exposure to version control systems such as Git or similar tools.
* Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
** Preferred

Education and Experience
*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* 0-2 years of relevant experience in embedded software development, firmware development, or related engineering disciplines.
* Exposure to firmware, embedded software, or low-level programming projects.
* Familiarity with software testing, validation, or debugging methodologies.
* Experience working with embedded development tools, IDEs, or compilers.
* Academic, internship, or personal project experience involving embedded systems, electronics, or software-hardware integration.
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
* For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce
