Midway University is actively seeking a full‑time head coach to oversee the start‑up and lead its Women’s Flag Football program (competition starting in 2026‑2027 season). This is a full‑time 12‑month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs.

• Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
• Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off‑season training.
• Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
• Supporting academic progress, enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
• Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
• Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
• Adhering to Midway University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.

• Recruitment and retention of qualified student‑athletes is a major emphasis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Sound judgment and the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
• Commitment to the academic and life skills development of student‑athletes.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships across campus.
• Experience in recruiting student‑athletes and managing coaching staff.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travelling for away games, is required.
• Demonstrated coaching experience is required, with head or assistant collegiate‑level experience preferred.
• Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
