As a Logistics Intern you will have the opportunity to apply your education, skills, and experience while gaining practical knowledge in the ACBL Logistics Department. - Learn ACBL Logistics best practices.
- Provide telephonic and email support for Logistics functions.
- Assist the Logistics Team with various tasks including:
- Gathering and updating information for the management and dispatch of barges and boats.
- Communicating barge placement, planning, allocation, and boat planning information to customers.
- Documenting barge release and placement information.
- Orchestrating port occurrences with harbor services.
- Assisting with area forecasts for Traffic Dispatchers, Traffic Managers, and System Planners.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute fresh ideas.
- HS Diploma/GED is required.
- Ability to multi‑task and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of organizational skills and results orientation.
- Must be dependable in attendance and meet deadlines as established.
- Critical thinking process orientation.
- Ability to determine priorities.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
- Current enrollment in college coursework is preferred.
- 0–1 year office work experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proficient in using MS Office software is preferred.
