Van Driversin our Transportation Department in Kingston work split shifts (mornings and afternoons), Monday through Friday, transporting individuals with disabilities. Drivers must exhibit a high degree of competence and responsibility for the safety of passengers being transported.

A high school diploma or GED is desired.

A valid New York State Class B or C driver's license with/without Passenger Endorsement, or Class D and a driving record acceptable to The Arc Mid-Hudson and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment.

CDL training! New hires will be expected to successfully obtain CDL license with Passenger Endorsement within 90 days of first day of employment.

HOURS:
40/Monday through Friday/variable split shifts, according to route schedule

STARTING SALARY:

$ 21.17 to $ 23.29 per hour for Driver without CDL/Passenger endorsement

$ 23.17 to $ 25.49 per hour for Driver with CDL/Passenger endorsement

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 18 years’ of age with 6-months driving experience.

Must have a current and acceptable New York State Driver’s License which meets acceptable standards of the agency’s automobile insurance company.

Currently hold a CDL A, B or C (with a P endorsement) or the ability to acquire. The ability, when necessary, to become Article 19A qualified.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disability preferred .
