Job Department: Transportation/Elder Support FLSA Status: No-Exempt Employee Status: Full-Time Shift: Clinic hours Four 10-hour shifts | Generally within 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (may adjust based on transportation, program, and event needs)
Location: Missoula, MT Wage: $24.00-$27.00 per hour DOE Closing Date: Priority Application Date: 9/17/26

All Nations Health Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, culturally responsive, and safety-focused Transportation Driver to provide reliable transportation services for Native American and underserved relatives in Missoula, Montana. This position is more than driving – it is an opportunity to reduce barriers to healthcare, strengthen relationships, and help relatives access medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, wellness, youth, and other approved services.

The Transportation Driver supports safe, timely, respectful, and trauma-informed transportation while following approved schedules and routes, maintaining professional boundaries, completing required documentation, and helping ensure that organizational vehicles remain clean, safe, and ready for service.

What We Are Looking For

Transportation Services & Relative Care
  • Safely transporting relatives to approved medical, dental, behavioral health, chemical dependency, pharmacy, wellness, youth, and community services
  • Providing timely pickups and drop-offs within approved service areas and along authorized routes
  • Supporting approved in-town and out-of-town transportation, including trips to eligible Tribal Health and IHS facilities
  • Treating passengers with courtesy, patience, dignity, and respect while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Helping passengers enter and exit the vehicle safely and assisting with mobility devices when appropriate and trained to do so
  • Recognizing that the GSA Van is not an emergency transportation service and directing emergencies to 911
Scheduling, Communication & Documentation
  • Following transportation schedules and trip assignments provided through authorized All Nations scheduling processes
  • Communicating delays, cancellations, safety concerns, or changes promptly to the appropriate supervisor or scheduling staff
  • Completing required trip records, mileage logs, incident reports, vehicle documentation, and Medicaid transportation information accurately and on time
  • Protecting passenger privacy and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policy
  • Ensuring all passengers wear seat belts and that children are secured in an appropriate child safety seat as required by law and policy
  • Enforcing transportation rules regarding drugs, alcohol, weapons, smoking, disruptive behavior, and driver distraction
  • Never using a cell phone, Bluetooth device, or other handheld electronic device while operating an organizational, rented, or personal vehicle for All Nations business
  • Responding appropriately to threats, unsafe behavior, accidents, inclement weather, and other emergencies, including safely stopping and contacting 911 when required
  • Maintaining appropriate supervision and professional boundaries when transporting minors or vulnerable passengers, with two staff present whenever possible
  • Immediately reporting suspected abuse, neglect, misconduct, or inappropriate behavior and completing all required documentation
