Job Summary: The Road Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of transportation services. Job Summary: The Road Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of transportation services. This position provides direct supervision and support to drivers, monitors route performance, responds to accidents and service disruptions, and ensures compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Road Supervisor serves as the primary field representative for operational issues, customer concerns, and emergency response situations, while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions:

• Monitors daily bus operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service delivery
• Conducts field supervision of drivers, routes, schedules, and service performance
• Investigates and responds to accidents, incidences, customer complaints and service disruption
• Monitor and track bus operations using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) mobile tablet systems to ensure accurate routing, timely service and effective communication
• Performs roadside observations and driver evaluations to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations
• Assists drivers with route guidance, emergency situations, vehicle breakdowns, detours, weather-related issues, and passenger concerns
• Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), state, and local regulations
• Monitors Driver’s work practices and attendance and documents performance issues in accordance with company policies
• Coordinates service adjustments, driver coverage, and emergency response actives to maintain uninterrupted service
• Communicates operational updates and service issues to dispatch, maintenance, management, drivers, and customers as needed
• Reviews and maintains accurate operational records, logs, reports, and incident documentation
• Conduct passenger assistance and conflict resolution activities while maintaining a high level of customer service

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
• Ability to stand, walk, climb bus steps, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to operate company vehicles and travel throughout the service area
• Must be able to work a varied schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in transportation, transit, school bus, or motor coach operations.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with applicable endorsements preferred
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and transportation safety practices
• Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, time management, and conflict-resolution skills.
