Now Hiring Transit CDL Bus Driver with Articulating experience in Rockville and Silver Spring, MD - Serving Montgomery County Bus Lanes

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced CDL Driver to join our elite team in Rockville and Silver Spring, MD for Day and Night shifts. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.00 – Maximum $22.00

• Following the successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, employees may be eligible for a wage increase.

Benefits include:

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

• Sick days: 5 days

• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transports Buses.

• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Move buses/articulating buses from one location to another.

• Travel as required, between the Rockville and Silver Spring locations.

• Work at both the Rockville and Silver Spring facilities as operational needs require.

• Be available to work mandatory unscheduled overtime, including emergency call-ins, extended shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental and operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Good verbal communication skills

• At least 21 years old

• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years

• Need to have active CDL

• Experience with Articulating Buses

• Be subject to a drug screen & physical

• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
