Operate a one-of-a-kind G550 special mission sensor aircraft in support of experimental and engineering test flights and operational support sorties. This role demands meticulous flight planning, disciplined execution, and seamless teamwork to meet demanding mission objectives safely and effectively.
What you’ll do- After indoctrination and training, serve as Co-Captain on Aeromet-operated G550 special mission sensor aircraft.
- Plan and execute experimental and engineering test flights and operational support missions.
- Ensure safe operations in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and DCMA 8210 D requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive mission planning, briefings/debriefings, and coordinate with a small, high-performing team.
- Support worldwide missions; work assigned shifts including activity outside normal duty hours.
- Remain subject to on-call status with a two-hour recall
; travel as required. - Uphold professional standards, participate in training, and maintain mission readiness.
- Education/experience: Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years relevant experience; or Graduate degree with 10+ years; or 16+ years related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Test pilot credentials: Graduate of the Armed Forces Test Pilot School Full Course
. - Certificates/medical:
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and a current FAA First-Class medical
. - Security & licenses: Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and a TS/SCI security clearance
. - Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- License required: ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted)
- Roster: 5/8
- 1,500 hours PC/PIC, including 100 hours PC/PIC on engineering and/or acceptance flights.
- Multi‑engine jet FAA type rating or military equivalent.
- Clean aviation accident and FAA violation record.
- No history of suspended or revoked designations or ratings.
- Operate to the highest professional standards and safety culture.
- Comply with applicable FAA regulations and DCMA 8210 D requirements.
