Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑time Material Handler in Mt. Sterling, KY. This is a full‑time warehouse position with hourly pay of $19.25 to $20.00 per hour depending on shift, paid weekly, and includes a range of benefits such as on‑job training, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, stock options with a 15% employee discount, and safety gear provided.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator's license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Punctual with a good attendance record
  • Independent work with minimal supervision
  • High initiative and accuracy under pressure

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
  • Manage day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours of production
  • Perform other duties as assigned
