The Service Center Lead, reporting to the Service Center Manager. Activities and responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead include:
- Support the management of the warehouse in compliance with the company's policies and vision
- Direct warehouse personnel as necessary
- Perform all warehouse functions effectively
- Maintain and assist with VMI Programs as needed
- Unload incoming inventory from trucks
- Stock inventory into shelf locations
- Pick inventory for shipment to customers or vendors
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Research missing parts to find current locations
- Make sure that all orders released for shipment are filled on time
- Ensure the quality of our product
- Consolidate inventory to make efficient use of storage space
- Confer with other department leads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities
- Responsible for training new employees
- Coordinate returns with Purchasing department and QC department
- All other duties as assigned
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 Years warehouse experience, certified forklift driver, working knowledge of OSHA regulations, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Skills:
- A strong work ethic
- Experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, follow procedures, and document information
- Experience in leading a team and communicating closely with management is a must
- Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment; troubleshoot and take corrective action to resolve problems, if necessary
- Experience with an automated Warehouse Management System
