The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily logistics, inventory control, and warehousing operations within a biologicals manufacturing environment focused on humic and fulvic-based products.
This hands-on position coordinates shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities to ensure accurate inventory management, timely product movement, warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with company quality and safety standards. The Coordinator works closely with production, warehouse, and logistics personnel to maintain an organized, efficient, and compliant operation.
Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing & Inventory Control- Coordinate daily shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and customs documents when applicable.
- Schedule shipments and communicate with carriers, freight companies, and logistics providers.
- Verify shipping accuracy, ensure products are packaged and labeled according to customer and company requirements, and sign off on accuracy of shipment against purchase orders.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies, delays, and transportation issues.
- Maintain shipping records and support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Verify quantities and condition of received materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately enter receiving and shipping transactions into inventory management systems.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to support daily operational goals.
- Assist with training new team members on shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory procedures.
- Support process documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and workplace organization.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Ensure compliance with shipping, inventory, and packaging procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Participate in audit and inspection activities as required.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team effectively.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including inventory management and data entry systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Experience with in chemical, agriculture, biologicals, liquid processing, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to work in dusty, hot, cold, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work safely in production environments.
- Industrial manufacturing and production plant environment focused on humic and fulvic biological products.
- Exposure to dust, raw materials, machinery, and varying plant temperatures.
- Fast-paced operational environment requiring flexibility and responsiveness.
- May require overtime, weekend, or evening work based on production and shipping schedules.
