Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • This job is performed in a standard warehouse setting around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory.
  • The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs and heavier weights with proper equipment.
  • The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climbto perform various duties.
  • The ability to operate appropriate powered industrial trucks safely. Training will be provided.
What you
will do:
  • Manage the outbound shipping operations for state of the art Centralized Distribution Center.
  • Prioritize the safety and wellness of all employees through training, policy enforcement, and cohesion
  • Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs to provide employees with a safe and clean workplace.
  • Support efforts to recruit and retain warehouse associates for the 2ndand 3rdshift
  • Coach and mentor a team of 6 direct reports and 50 indirect reports to build a strong foundation and create internal growth opportunities
  • Prioritize daily workload and staffing needs to achieve 100% on-time shipment and 99.9% shipment accuracy rate.
  • Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in multiple warehouse functions, to assist in balancing staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
  • Communicate status updates with the wire department and dispatch team.
  • Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform their functions.
  • Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
  • Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.
What you
will bring:
  • Prior warehouse management experience.
  • Strong communication and delegation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and mentor a team
  • The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to obtain certification in the operation of powered industrial trucks including but not limited to, pallet jack, forklift, and order picker.
  • The desire to maintain an organized and positive warehouse environment.
  • The ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.
  • Familiarity and adaptability to automation systems.

Location:

This position is based out of our Cranbury, NJ Central Distribution Center.

Work Hours:

Based off business need across two different shifts. The manager has flexibility to schedule their work hours to best support the operation. 2ndshift operates from 3:30PM-until completion. 3rdshift operates from 8:30PM-until completion.
