This is a hands-on management role responsible for the NABS Creative General Operations & Event Tech process within our inventory location — from equipment planning and procurement through preparation, picking, load-out, return, inspection, maintenance and storage.
Our inventory includes audio, video, production, LED, rigging, cabling, tools, infrastructure and specialist event equipment used across live sports, entertainment and major event productions.
The objective is:
the right equipment, in the right place, in the right condition, ready at the right time.
Manage the day-to-day operation, organization and presentation of the NABS shop and warehouse.
Manage warehouse tasks, priorities, crew requirements and schedules.
Implement NABS warehouse and inventory processes and continually improve them as operational needs develop.
Review upcoming event requirements and source and allocate equipment accordingly.
Manage the picking, checking and issuing process in coordination with Project Leads.
Manage event packing, load-out, return, unload and put-away processes.
Manage inventory procurement from initial request through purchasing, receipt, inventory entry and placement on the shelf.
Coordinate equipment inspection, maintenance and repair.
Manage subrentals and externally sourced equipment required for projects.
Build and maintain the warehouse operations schedule covering inventory management, maintenance, repairs, picking, prep, packing, loading, unloading and put-away
.
Responsible for the general upkeep of Salt Lake Operations space including Inventory, Prep, Load, Repair, Yard and Parking locations and spaces.
Lead and coordinate shop and warehouse crew based on the changing requirements of the event schedule.
Work closely with Project Leads and NABS technical leads to ensure equipment requirements are understood and achievable.
As part of the NABs Management Team to contribute to continuous improvement and growth across the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESYou will be accountable for ensuring:
Inventory is correct at all times — both in the system and on the shelf.
Stored equipment is organized, complete and ready for rental or event use
.
Equipment required for upcoming events is available and prepared according to approved pick lists, kit details and project requirements.
Equipment shortages, conflicts and requirements are identified early enough to be resolved without affecting event delivery.
Subrentals and inventory procurement are managed within agreed project and operational budgets.
The shop, warehouse and inventory areas remain organized, professional and “customer visit ready” at all times
.
Serialized, high-value and critical equipment is accurately tracked throughout its lifecycle.
Project Leads receive accurate and useful inventory information to allow them to plan and deliver projects effectively.
The warehouse is appropriately staffed during operating hours and for event-related prep, load-outs, returns and other operational requirements.
Equipment returning from events is checked, accounted for, inspected and returned to a ready-for-use condition promptly.
Continuous system upkeep to provide accurate reporting information across usage, costs, damage, repairs and budget tracking.
Delivering with in both Operations and Project Budgets at all times.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESWe are looking for someone who can take ownership of a busy and constantly changing event technology operation.
The successful candidate should have:
Strong event and AV industry experience
, with a practical understanding of how professional audio, video, production, LED, rigging, cabling and related equipment is packaged and deployed.
