Salary range: $47,711.56 to $55,553.09 annually

What you'll do Responsibilities
  • Administering tests through the Testing Centre. This includes coordinating and scheduling tests, communicating with students and faculty, and test invigilation. NSCC Testing Centres provide both internal and external testing.
  • Supporting accessibility by providing accommodated testing and providing support for assistive technology.
  • Providing learning support services on-campus, such as by providing support for note taking, study strategies, time management, and digital literacy, to individuals and groups.
  • Supporting continuous service improvement by collecting, analyzing and reporting on service delivery data.
  • Supporting the success of campus events, activities and initiatives, such as orientations and convocation.
  • This position may require some Saturday and evening hours.
What you'll need Qualifications Qualifications and Occupational Experience
  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in an area related to Adult Education, Educational Technology, Administrative and Business Services, Social Services, or Library Technician.
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary institution or with adult learners.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, printers, and photocopiers.
  • Experience working in a test environment would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities would be considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students in post-secondary, including supporting students with assistive technology would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and Office 365 with strong demonstrated experience with assistive technology, e.g., text-to-speech software, accessibility features in desktop and web applications and equipment.
  • Strong demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace, EnCampus, Pearson Vue and People Soft.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • First Aid and mental health and wellness training would be considered an asset.
