Quality Engineer - Kentwood Area

Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Perform product inspections and testing to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, or SPC.
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and conduct internal audits.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with core quality tools and methodologies including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis (e.g., 8D).
• Strong understanding and practical application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive effective corrective and preventive actions.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP
• Certified Internal or Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
