Controller - Kentwood Area

Salary Range: $123,000 - $172,000 depending on experience

We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Controllers. • Oversee all financial reporting, including month-end close, financial statements, and management reports.
• Manage the cost accounting system, including standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision-making and drive profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis specific to manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and manage an accounting team.

• Deep expertise with a major manufacturing ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with multi-national operations and multi-currency consolidations.
