Position SummaryAs a CNA, you’ll provide daily care and support to residents in accordance with Holland Home’s policies and under the direction of nursing leadership. You’ll play a vital role in promoting dignity, comfort, and well‑being for those we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Monitor and document changes in residents’ physical and mental condition
- Support residents during meals and snacks, including feeding assistance
- Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range‑of‑motion exercises
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Participate in training, meetings, and in‑service programs
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families
- Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and Holland Home’s Code of Conduct
- Use Positive Approach to Care™ techniques in all interactions
- Assist with onboarding new CNAs
- Transport residents to meals, appointments, and activities
- Support clinical tasks such as vital signs and specimen collection
- Follow infection control protocols and report safety concerns
- Completion of a state‑approved CNA training program
- Current Michigan CNA certification
- BLS and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Experience with elderly populations preferred
- Compassionate care for residents with diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail
- Physical ability to assist residents and meet job demands
- Commitment to attendance and health standards
- Resident care environment with standard precautions
- Includes every other weekend and 2 holidays per year
