Job Description & How to Apply Below
About the role

You will be the expert who translates complex ERP structures into analytics-ready data. As our QAD/Progress Open Edge authority, you’ll connect the dots between raw transactional tables, embedded 4GL business logic, and the information our data lake, Alteryx, and Power BI teams rely on for enterprise reporting.

A day in the life Morning stand-up aligns you with data lake engineers on new extracts bound for OCI Object Storage / Oracle ADB. Before lunch, you untangle relationships across legacy QAD tables, updating a living data dictionary so that “what does this field mean?” has a durable, documented answer. In the afternoon, you troubleshoot a mapping anomaly impacting supply chain KPIs, refine validations, and push a fix through change control.

You wrap the day reviewing a prototype that connects ERP/data lake content to a locally hosted LLM to accelerate mapping documentation.

What you’ll own Document and map ERP data structures across QAD, Progress Open Edge, and other source systems: tables, fields, relationships, and embedded business logic.

Serve as the subject matter expert for the true meaning of fields/tables in source ERP systems.

Translate business reporting needs into accurate data models and query logic.

Reverse‑engineer schemas and relationships in systems with limited or outdated documentation.

Produce and maintain source‑to‑target mapping documents capturing transformations and business rules.

Build and maintain a living data dictionary for QAD/Progress Open Edge (and others as needed) with field definitions, valid values, and business meaning.

Integration and reporting enablement

Design extractions with the enterprise data lake as the landing zone—feeding raw and curated layers in OCI Object Storage / Oracle ADB—rather than point solutions.

Build and support interfaces via database integrations, ODBC connections, and file‑based transfers.

Troubleshoot data quality and mapping issues; implement corrective actions to protect data integrity.

Monitor data flows and identify opportunities for optimization.

Contribute to on‑premise LLM integration work (connecting ERP/data lake content to locally hosted models) for AI‑assisted data mapping, documentation, and query tooling.

Data management and governance

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and synchronization across enterprise systems.

Develop validation, reconciliation, and exception‑handling processes.

Collaboration and delivery

Partner with business stakeholders across:

Provide technical guidance and best practices for ERP data structure and integration architecture.

Security and compliance
