Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment according to established procedures.
- Conduct precise dimensional measurements using advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, laser scanner).
- Develop, program, and validate measurement routines for automated inspection systems.
- Analyze measurement data, generate detailed reports, and interpret results to support quality decisions.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on metrology instruments and systems.
- Ensure all metrology activities comply with internal quality standards, industry regulations, and calibration schedules.
- Assist in root cause analysis for measurement discrepancies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Associate's Degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing metrology or quality control environment.
- Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment (e.g., optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC‑DMIS, Calypso) and programming directly from CAD models.
- Experience with advanced measurement technologies such as laser trackers, structured light scanners, or industrial CT scanning.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques for process improvement.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 accreditation requirements or other relevant quality management systems.
- Basic CAD software proficiency (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for model viewing and manipulation.
