We are currently accepting applications for Process Technicians (Molding) to join our molding facilities on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. As a process technician you would support the production effort by responding to and resolving any process problems in the molding operation.
Responsibilities include:- Investigates all problems associated with molded part processes.
- Performs all necessary corrective actions to eliminate problems.
- Assists the maintenance personnel in resolving machine process problems on an as-needed basis.
- Assists the die setters with die sets as problems arise.
- Assists systems assurance in monitoring the computer programs.
- Assists shift supervisor with overall shift performance.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations.
- Knows all lockout procedures and follows them.
- Performs die sets as needed or required.
- Maintains required documentation on a daily basis.
- Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor.
- Make judgments regarding when to ask for maintenance work and writes work requests accordingly
- Perform minor repairs on same machines and assists with major repairs
- Troubleshoot molding process as necessary, and complete required
- Highly developed and proven mechanical aptitude.
- A demonstrated understanding of the total integration of molding machine systems
- The ability to operate process controllers and to use them as troubleshooting aids.
- Demonstrated ability to perform required job skills by successfully performing one or more in-house
administered practical evaluations. - Knowledge and understanding of the plastic injection process, and different types of plastic materials used.
- Knowledge and understanding of auxiliary equipment
- Working knowledge of computers and programmable controllers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with people.
- Full understanding of mold protect procedures.
- Obtains hi-lo license and operates hi-lo safely
