Why this role matters
Each launch and process improvement you lead reduces variation, cuts cost, and elevates quality. You’ll steer cross‑functional teams with the Project Launch Guide and the Autocam Production System (APS), ensuring every change is locked into our QMS and EMS.What you’ll take on Partner with product teams to build standardized procedures and documentation for consistent, high-quality, low‑cost manufacturing.
Shape capital equipment plans; provide technical support through purchase, installation, and ramp‑up.
Engineer and refine manufacturing processes and tooling for current production and new product introductions (NPI).Lead APQP activities and continuous improvement initiatives using the Project Launch Guide and APS.Author and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and cost standards.
Own cost modeling: quote new parts and update existing customer quotations.
Develop people: train operators on machine operations, SPC, reading documentation, and improving the process.
Translate prints to practice: read technical drawings and apply GD&T to processes and inspection.
Ensure all activities align with our Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).Bring these strengths BS in Engineering or equivalent technical training with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proven problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Skilled in technical documentation, cost estimation, and manufacturing software tools.
Comfortable interpreting complex documents and communicating across teams and leadership levels.
Experience with APQP, GD&T, and lean manufacturing proficient inGD&TBachelor's Degree Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Continuous Improvement Statistical process control (SPC)
Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Process Engineering Experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentPPAP Process Experience Root Cause Analysis Tools of the tradeCNC Lathe (2–4 axis) (Mazak, Haas)
