West Shore Home is building the first nationwide home remodeling brand and is looking for a Home Remodeling Trainee to join our Grand Rapids team. The trainee will work under the Installation Manager and partner with Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse/Operations staff to deliver high‑quality shower installation and bath remodel experiences.
Responsibilities- Meet at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, gather materials, and load company trucks.
- Drive to customer homes, greet clients, and establish rapport.
- Perform controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area.
- Install new bathtub/shower pan, acrylic wall surround, and update plumbing as needed.
- Maintain extreme attention to detail and clean up the site after installation.
- Obtain necessary signed documents and payment from the customer and return to warehouse.
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction, or a strong desire to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid smartphone or smart device for two‑factor authentication.
