Role highlights

Enroll in our Screw Machine Academy to develop into a production-ready technician.

Support Tornos multi‑spindle/Swiss screw machines on our Kentwood, MI team.

Practice safe, accurate adjustments and uphold rigorous quality standards.

Academy curriculum

Core Tornos machine components and end‑to‑end operation.

Operator controls and essential preventive maintenance.

Bar stock prep and restocking to sustain throughput.

Identifying causes of quality defects and corrective actions.

Tool changes and slide adjustments for precision.

Shaving, roller supports, and floating holder techniques.

Collet and pusher care; replacing cutoff tools effectively.

Adjusting pickoff and cutoff settings for performance.

Schedule Initial training:
Day shift for 4–6 weeks.

Ongoing schedule:
Night shift, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. (approximately 50 hours/week).Minimum qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical/machining education is a plus.

Successful completion of an onsite mechanical aptitude test.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and desire for hands‑on work.

Helpful prior experience

Automotive Repair Brakes Oil  Changes Tire Service Drywall Installation Manual Machining Skills High School / GEDShop Math Skills Experience in a Manufacturing Environment For positions requiring access to technical data, NN, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce
- Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State
- Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
