Job DescriptionThe Keokuk Community School District is a public school district located in Keokuk, IA, on the banks of the Mississippi River, educating 1,700 students in grades PreK-12 with over 60% of the students qualifying for free/reduced lunch. Keokuk CSD offers students a rich array of programs and course offerings. Recent additions to course pathways include Agriculture and Family and Consumer Science in grades 6-12, FFA and esports.
The Board of Education has four goal strands:
Student Success, Community Engagement, Employee Excellence, and Effective Resource Management.
KCSD provides robust support in curriculum and instruction and special education for teachers and staff who seek continuous improvement. Over 40 elementary teachers completed state-sponsored LETRS training and the District was also recently awarded the 5-year Statewide Comprehensive Literacy Grant.
The District is seeking a dynamic interim superintendent to continue support of ongoing programs and initiatives.
