As a Maintenance Technician at Ziegler Industries, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment to help keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities may include:
Diagnosing and repairing diesel engine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Performing routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Performing light repairs on small gas-powered engines as needed. Maintaining accurate repair records and maintenance reports. Safely operating shop equipment such as forklifts and cranes. Keeping your work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Assisting with parts runs and basic shop tasks as needed. Communicating clearly with team members and providing project updates.

Qualified candidates should have: 3–4 years of diesel mechanic or related experience. Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and apply technical manuals and schematics. Own basic toolset (up to ½" drive). Valid driver's license with a clean MVR. High school diploma or GED. Positive attitude, team mentality, and willingness to adapt. Comfortable using computers. Experience with Excel, Outlook, or Teams is a plus.

This is a hands-on position in a busy industrial shop environment. Candidates must be comfortable with:
Lifting 50–75 lbs regularly. Bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in tight spaces. Working in loud, dirty, and varying hot or cold conditions. Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
