Vision Center Manager NL

Position Summary

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in‑stock levels, inventory management, budgeting and forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs.

• Model and provide direction to Associates on customer service approaches and techniques to resolve customer complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards.
• Participate in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good community members.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and provide guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.
• Direct Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation and records.
• Provide supervision, development opportunities, hiring, training, mentoring and recognition for Associates, promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
• Consult with and educate members on eyewear products, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidential information and perform minor frame repair while maintaining optical equipment.
• Uphold the company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues and suggesting resolutions.
• Coordinate, complete and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, measuring progress and driving continuous learning.

• Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

• Experience supervising Associates in a retail/vision center environment.
• Knowledge of industry trends and community engagement.
• Prior experience with safety and quality assurance reviews.
