Position Summary:
This role leads the Vision Center's sales, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and inventory management. The individual will develop and implement merchandising strategies, drive product mix decisions, and drive revenue and profitability. The position also oversees compliance with company policies and local regulations, manages optical equipment, and provides coaching and support to associates.
- Drive sales in the Vision Center through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and inventory management.
- Provide leadership and direction to associates on customer/member service and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies through analysis of reports, asset protection, and safety controls.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and quality assurance.
- Provide supervision, training, mentoring, recognition, and developmental opportunities for associates.
- Consult with members on eyewear selection, measurements, prescription verification, and minor frame repair.
- Maintain confidential information, documentation, and records in accordance with policies.
- Support community outreach programs and cultivate a culture of belonging.
- Lead operational initiatives, build accountability, measure progress, and drive continuous improvement.
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
- Experience supervising associates.
Hourly wage range: $30.00 - $40.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay zone adjustments.
