Due to enrollment growth, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School seeks a number of dynamic and knowledgeable teachers to join our faculty for the 2026–27 academic year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of learning, support students at a range of proficiency levels, and contribute meaningfully to the school’s mission to form intellect, character, and faith.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with dual certification or the qualifications and experience to teach multiple disciplines.
Instruction & Curriculum- Teach sections of target discipline area (up to 5 sections total) using effective, research‑based instructional practices.
- Develop engaging lessons that align to diocesan and state curriculum standards, in collaboration with department leaders.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress through varied methods and meaningful feedback.
- Integrate Catholic values and ethical thinking where appropriate, in alignment with the school’s mission.
- Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom that encourages student participation and academic excellence.
- Maintain high expectations for student work, conduct, and personal responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the respective departments and across disciplines.
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and school‑wide events as required.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
- Provide additional assistance for students as needed, including office hours or tutoring.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents via Canvas LMS and email.
- Bachelor’s degree in target discipline or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Current teaching license or willingness to pursue licensure.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Experience teaching at the high school level.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction.
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to school culture.
This position reports to the school administration and works closely with department colleagues and academic support staff.
