Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Medical Oncology Department at our Kerrville, TX location. It is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5 pm) with no weekends, calls or major holidays.

- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Determine patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Offer psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage medication refill requests from pharmacy via telephone and record information in patient charts.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Collaborate interprofessionally.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The work environment is representative of a typical oncology/hematology clinic, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other common conditions. Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
