Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with telemetry experience preferred.

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience is preferred but not required
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive drug screen result prior to arrival, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country and approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
