NHCA invites spiritually mature men who are called to invest in the next generation through Christ-centered mentorship. This role is more than supervision—it is a ministry opportunity to walk alongside young people, model a life of faith, and help guide them toward spiritual, emotional, and personal growth.

The Direct Care Team member serves as a steady, godly presence in the daily lives of students, offering consistency, accountability, and encouragement within a structured, faith-based environment.

Whether you come with formal ministry experience or a depth of life experience shaped by your walk with Christ, your influence matters.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of faith and evidence of spiritual maturity
• Full agreement with the ATCO mission statement
• Understanding of Christian discipleship and a heart for mentoring youth
• At least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness to complete 30 hours of childcare or related training (provided by NHCA)
• Commitment to maintain First Aid and CPR certification (training provided)
• Able to pass a Background Check to work with Adolescents

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of full-time ministry or relevant life experience in mentoring, discipleship, or youth work

• Affordable living with no state income tax, on-campus living available, private room and bathroom, meals included
• Beautiful Hill Country setting with the Guadalupe River and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy, hiking, fishing, camping, and many awesome State Parks in the area
• Slower pace of life that allows for more intentional, people-focused ministry
