Job Summary: The classroom tutor provides academic development support to students in small groups or one‑on‑one settings and supports classroom teachers with strategies for working with disadvantaged children to meet curriculum goals and students' needs.
New Hire Hourly Rate: Grade 6: $21.60 – $24.14 DOE
Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement
Work hours: 7 hours per day
Work year: 9 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
Job Qualifications/Requirements- A high school diploma or equivalent, and have completed the Para Professional Assessment, or have the ability to pass the Para Professional Assessment within four months of hire;
- An associate’s degree or higher;
- Completion of two years of higher education (at least 48 semester hours) or the equivalent.
