What you will be doing:
As an Eligibility Technician 2 (ET2), you will be part of the statewide Public Assistance Eligibility Team. Eligibility Technician 2s maintain case management and daily workflow while assisting the public.

Working together, we will help Alaskan families, the elderly, and other individuals in need reach higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency through in-person service or a virtual call center, and connecting them to a variety of public assistance programs our agency provides.

Tips for Success in This Position:

  • Computer

    Skills:

    Most tasks are computer-based, so good typing skills (30 words per minute or more) and strong data entry abilities are recommended.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Familiarity with using the internet, toggling between browsers, managing multiple computer screens, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and its components are beneficial.
  • Public Interaction:
    This role involves extensive contact with the public. Being empathetic while explaining the need for information or determining benefits is highly recommended.

This position is located in Ketchikan, Alaska. The Ketchikan office is located at: 2030 Sea Level Dr. Suite 301, Ketchikan, AK. 99901. This position joins a statewide eligibility workflow team in local Public Assistance offices across the state.
