This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ketchikan, AK, for a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions, develop and implement policies, and support recruitment efforts. Key responsibilities include managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with HR regulations, creating process designs, and supporting change management initiatives. The role also includes providing career counseling and working closely with management to optimize HR strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications- Human Resources Management:
Knowledge of HR policies, compliance, employee relations, and best practices in diverse industries. - Recruitment and Staffing:
Experience in sourcing, assessing, and hiring candidates for a variety of positions, with a proven track record of effective placement. - Strategic Planning:
Skills in process design, organizational development, and implementing effective change management strategies. - Interpersonal and Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication, career coaching expertise, and ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization. - Analytical and Problem-Solving
Skills:
Ability to assess business needs, optimize processes, and navigate challenges in HR operations and compliance. - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience in HR roles within industries such as transportation, electrical, high-tech, medical, or telecommunications is preferred.
- Proficiency in HR systems and tools, as well as general computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
