Job Description
Peace Health is seeking a RN Clinic - PHMG Clinical Support for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range is $44.27 – $71.09. Hiring rate and bonus may be available depending on experience.
DescriptionProvides professional nursing care to patients in the clinic/outpatient setting in compliance with professional practice standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach toward patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team.
Essential Functions- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Conduct patient triage, counsel patients, provide patient education, take histories, administer medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in development and maintenance of policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required:
Accredited School of Nursing.
- Preferred: 1 year of RN experience.
- Required:
Registered Nurse in state of practice. - Required:
Basic Life Support upon hire. - Preferred:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire.
- Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.
- Effective prioritization skills.
- Ability to provide health education to patients, staff and community.
- Knowledge of Medicare, JCAHO, DNV & HCFA regulations pertaining to ambulatory care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
- Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment.
- Fine motor skills required for medical equipment and precise procedures.
- Push/Pull:
Frequently up to 45 lbs. force. - Hands on CPR at least 20 minutes using 100-125 lbs. of force, seldom or occasionally.
- Ability to move around area with frequent sitting.
- Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling frequently.
- Lifting non-patient up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
