Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia services at a Critical Access Hospital supporting all age demographics, with an average of 5–15 patient contacts per day
- Perform and support a broad range of required procedures including general surgery, endoscopies, total joints, arthroscopies, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology, C-sections, pediatric cases (dental, ENT, and ortho), and labor epidurals
- Conduct patient admissions as part of inpatient hospital responsibilities within a 25-bed facility
- Fulfill call requirements on a rotating basis (currently approximately 2 on/2 off), subject to change based on provider availability
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Hospitalist, and Emergency Department physicians
- Document and manage patient care using EPIC as the facility EMR
- Active Alaska (AK) CRNA license required and must be in hand at time of presentation
- ACLS certification required (must be issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Demonstrated clinical activity within the last 24 months (case logs required)
- Proficient EPIC EMR user
- Ability to work within a collaborative, multi-specialty inpatient hospital environment (will not work solo)
- Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting
- Experience performing the full breadth of required procedures listed, including obstetric anesthesia and pediatric cases
- Comfort with variable patient volume and flexible call scheduling
