The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is critical to keeping our equipment running reliably. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a wide variety of machinery and work spaces while upholding health and safety best practices. You’ll help safeguard colleagues and prevent machine downtime, boosting equipment availability and supporting continuous improvement.

• Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
• Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices
• Support the development and progression of on‑site apprentices
• Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites

You will be based on‑site so you can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll perform planned preventative maintenance, respond promptly to breakdowns, investigate faults, and implement solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also suggest long‑term improvements, work alongside senior colleagues on day‑to‑day maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, liaise with contractors when external expertise is needed, and cover shifts around the clock.

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Served a full engineering apprenticeship or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ)
• Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
• Relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance

• Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng
• Experience in condition‑based monitoring
• Experience in fault‑finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
