Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
Conduct servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
Perform MOT testing and related repairs where qualified
Replace brakes, tyres, cambelts, clutches, and perform engine repairs
Undertake gearbox replacements and associated repairs
Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems, including re-gassing
Carry out welding and general mechanical repairs as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Complete accurate documentation and clearly communicate work requirements
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
At least 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
Proven ability to carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
Experience working on brakes, tyres, cambelts, clutch replacements, and MOT repairs
Additional skills in air conditioning and welding are desirable
Current Class 4 MOT Tester licence is highly desirable; individuals with MOT experience and DVSA certification are preferred
Relevant qualifications such as C&G or NVQ Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Technology are preferred, though demonstrated experience will be considered
Full UK driving licence
