This is an exciting opportunity to work in Kettering's busy audiology department comprising of 3 admin team members and 10 audiologists. We are a friendly team dedicated to providing the best hearing care for the adult and paediatric population.
In this role you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day reception duties as well as providing administrative support to the admin manager and deputy head of audiology. The successful post holder will need to work well under pressure, have good computer skills, be friendly, welcoming and empathetic with good listening skills.
Main duties of the job- Be the first point of contact for patients when they attend the audiology department, welcoming them and providing a positive first impression to enhance patient experience.
- Check in patients, book appointments, answer telephone calls and respond to general queries.
- Issue hearing aid batteries and spare parts for aids and assist in the general day‑to‑day running of the audiology department.

Person Specification Qualifications- 4 GCSEs including English and Maths (A–C) or equivalent qualification
- Typing/Admin qualification
- Experience of working with the public
- Experience of previous reception front‑of‑house duties
- Experience with answering telephone calls
- Previous experience of working with hearing‑impaired individuals
- Ability to work alone or in a team structure
- Ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel
- Ability to handle people in a courteous and sensitive manner, taking into account their individual needs
