Itinerant Preschool Intervention Specialist
Kettering City Schools KECEC – Kettering, Ohio
Position Type: Full-Time
Effective School Year: 2026‑27
Starting Date: Immediately
Location: KECEC, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd. Ste. 105, Kettering, OH 45429‑2584
Job Description: Seeking applicants with an Ohio Early Childhood Intervention Specialist teaching license who have the ability to teach the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards using developmentally appropriate practices.
Responsibilities- Develop measurable educational goals and objectives based on assessment data and progress monitoring documentation.
- Know co‑teaching, universal education, and co‑treating strategies.
- Participate in school‑wide professional development programs and activities.
- Communicate with parents and guardians of assigned students daily/weekly.
- Maintain records regarding student progress aligned with common core state standards.
- Provide a variety of instructional experiences for all students based on individual needs and ongoing data/progress monitoring.
- Valid Ohio teaching license (Pre‑Kindergarten Special Needs/Early Childhood of the Handicapped).
- Must pass criminal background checks and pre‑employment drug screening.
- Collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
- Training and understanding of Early Learning Content Standards, assessments, and child development.
- Educational technology skills.
According to the approved teacher salary schedule.
