POSITION: INTERVENTION SPECIALIST

Effective 2026-27 School Year

LOCATION: KETTERING FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL

GENERAL INFORMATION: Seeking applicants with Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist teaching license.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List:
  • Develops measurable educational goals and objectives based on assessment data and progress monitoring documentation.
  • Knowledgeable about co-teaching and universal education.
  • Participates in school-wide professional development programs and activities.
  • Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students daily/weekly.
  • Maintains records regarding student progress that is aligned with common core state standards.
  • Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students based on individual needs and on-going data/progress monitoring.
  • Works well in collaboration with other teachers, counselors, & community professionals.
    • QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List:
  • Valid Ohio teaching license.
  • Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Educational technology skills.
  • Preference given to those with experience in English Language Arts.
    • SALARY: According to the approved teacher salary schedule.
