POSITION: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Effective 2025-26 School Year

LOCATION: DISTRICT-WIDE

GENERAL INFORMATION: Kettering City Schools is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers to work on an as‑needed basis. Applicants must have a minimum of a BACHELOR’S DEGREE with a valid Ohio Teaching/Substitute License. Upon appointment, please bring your Driver’s License, Social Security Card, and Official transcripts.

• A Voided Check or Direct Deposit Statement (you can upload these)
• Money Order for $47.25 for a background check
• 3 Professional Reference Letters

• Follow daily objectives and lesson plans.
• Supervise and manage all classroom activities.
• Ensure all assigned children are kept in a safe environment.
• Follow the instructions of Building Principals.

• Valid Ohio teaching/Substitute Teaching License.
• Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Educational technology skills.
