Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities

Reporting to the Registered Manager, Support Workers at Magenta Domiciliary Care Services provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and within the community. Working to a daily rota, you will help customers live as independently as possible, in line with their care plans and daily requirements.

  • Substance misuse or addiction issues
  • Social challenges such as isolation or housing difficulties
  • Physical disabilities or long-term health conditions
  • Learning disabilities or developmental conditions
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and medication prompts.
  • Support customers to access the community, attend social activities, and engage in leisure opportunities.
  • Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation and light domestic duties.
  • Book and/or attend appointments with customers, ensuring access to health and social services.
  • Communicate with external agencies - where appropriate (e.g. local authority, Department for Work and Pensions) on behalf of customers.
  • Liaise with family members or next of kin where appropriate.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and CQC standards.
  • Work independently, travelling between customer addresses and community locations.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check during application.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
