Position requires a strong educational background and relevant pastoral experience.

Undergrad or master’s degree (done or in process) in the theological or pastoral field or equivalent

• Masters or Doctoral degree in nursing
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Counseling or Psychology
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• Or meaningful and comparable ministerial‑pastoral experience assessed by the CPE center's admissions committee.

• Congregational pastoral experience preferred.

• Personal commitment to God.
• Personal integrity, emotional stability, sound physical health, and an ability to work under stress.
• Effectively relates to persons of diverse religious, educational, and cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrates ability to earn respect of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
