Position: CT Imaging Tech (Part Time)

The CT Tech (Part Time) provides imaging services throughout Radiation Oncology Services, defined as computed tomography imaging at our Kettering office location.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

3 days per week (8-hour shifts)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic CT procedures on patients utilizing ionizing radiation producing equipment;
Acquires patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered;
Verifies the patients' demographic data is correct in all applicable systems;
Checks and prepares patients prior to CT study;
Educates patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation;
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations;
Performs VNA punctures as necessary and maintains competencies;
Maintains all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality assurance results;
Is knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images – when applicable;
Observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems to appropriate individuals;
Maintains available equipment up‑time at the highest level for patient accessibility;
Has responsibilities for supplies, equipment operations and related duties;
May assist with scheduling of patients as needed;
