Reports toDirector of Business Management
StatusPart‑time, 30 hours per week, hourly non‑exempt
Scheduled Hours9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday with occasional early morning, evenings and weekends
Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience desired
SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, organization and problem‑solving skills, and highly proficient in Microsoft Office

- Complete the volunteer training and position orientation
- Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
- Be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to volunteers and staff
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Be able to commute to all centers
- Ensures efficient recruitment process for new staff including:
- Recruitment, interviewing, tracking status of candidates and communicating with candidates
- Submitting online investigation requests and background checks
- Verifying references and credentials
- Writing offer letters
- Ensures efficient hiring process of new staff members including:
- Prepares new‑employee files
- Processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record‑keeping and proper deductions, including I‑9 verification
- Maintaining current copies of all I‑9 documents separate from personnel files
- Conducts and ensures efficient onboarding of new staff members
- Annually review, and, if necessary, update forms, including employee application, reference forms, interview itineraries, and other employment related documents, statements of faith, corporate policies
- Update and maintain current organizational chart
- Maintain current records of all employees, job descriptions, and status within the organization
- Develop and maintain effective communication system for all staff and volunteers
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Assists with processing of terminations
- Serves as back‑up to Director of Business Management for payroll submission
- Prepares performance review process and ensures that all staff receive annual evaluation
- Evaluate staff’s professional development needs and identify training opportunities
- Establish ongoing training protocol and increase professional development engagement (starting October 2024 with completion in October 2025)
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; files documents and performs other clerical functions
- Assists or prepares correspondence as needed
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Continually update Human Resources Coordinator Job Manual and Timeline
- Develop annual Human Resources budget
- Develop and implement strategic plan for Human Resources
- Provide monthly written reports (by the 9th of every month) to the Executive Director
- Provide statistics as needed
- Conduct a comprehensive review of an Hope Rising’s HR policies, practices, procedures, and workforce metrics to ensures alignment with business goals, legal compliance, employee engagement, and workforce efficiency
- Attend and participate in monthly Staff meetings held on the second Thursday of the month
- Other duties assigned by Director of Business Management or Executive Director
- Visual and auditory accuracy

- Continuous conversational communication
- Occasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing
- Frequent use of personal car (mileage reimbursement is available)
- Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions
- Memorize and retain instructions
- Read and interpret detailed specifications
- Frequent lifting of 20 lbs. or more
The Human Resources Coordinator shall receive at least one annual written and oral evaluation by the Director of Business Management.
