Landscape Crew Leader - Dayton

Overview

Ground Systems is hiring a hands-on Crew Leader in Dayton, Ohio. Lead and mentor a crew of 1-4 members to deliver high-quality landscaping services, balancing fieldwork with leadership to ensure efficient workflow and team success across enhancement projects.

• Oversee daily landscaping operations
• Ensure quality control and project standards
• Train and supervise crew members
• Perform and guide tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and general groundskeeping
• Perennial bed maintenance
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Maintain a safe, efficient worksite
• Operate trucks and trailers and landscaping equipment

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL not required)
• At least 20 years old
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Basic English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Must use personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience
• Familiarity with tools such as hand saws, pruners, mowers, weed eaters, and blowers
• Experience supervising a small team or crew
