Elementary Teacher- 5th Grade

Duties

Opening for a 5th Grade Teacher at Wethersfield Elementary School. Seeking applicants with strong classroom management, organizational skills, able to work with children with various needs, and a passion about creating a learning environment where students can achieve their highest potential.

Qualifications

* Professional Educator License (PEL) from the State of Illinois with Endorsement

* Standard Elementary Teaching License with an endorsement in Self-Contained General Education and Elementary Education as required by the State

* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

* One or more years of experience teaching Grades 4-6 preferred (except in the case of a new college graduate)

* Teamwork and collaboration are required, along with reflection and a desire to continually improve your practice

* Reading training/background preferred with a strong knowledge of Response to Intervention and Common Core State Standards

* Other qualifications that are deemed important by the Board of Education

Salary/Benefits

As per negotiated teacher contract.
