Intesive Life Skills Teacher

Duties

* Responsible for developing individualized education programs (IEP's) and ensuring that curricula meet the needs of each student

* Following seizure plans, dispersing medications

* ADLs

* Feeding tubes, lifting, toileting, bathing, positioning, and changing diapers

* Build positive relationships with students and their families

* Trauma-informed practices

* Ability to facilitate and support sensory diet and needs

* Extended School Year is required

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Special Education

* Valid Illinois lives as a learning Behavior Specialist-Limited or unlimited

* Skills in the use of behavior management strategies, inclusion strategies, differentiated instruction, and accommodations

* Knowledge of the evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of various disabilities

* PEL

* CPI Trained
